This Tutorial is primarily addressed to young researchers (researchers, Post Doc, PhD students) interested in modelling and control complex interacting dynamical systems, such as mechanical (devices for advanced manipulation, telemanipulation and haptic systems, legged robots), electromechanical (electric motors, power converters) and the chemical ones and in modeling and control of infinite dimensional system. This Tutorial will provide an overview of the key topics and state of the art in modelling and control of complex dynamical systems, with an approach based on the Hamiltonian formalism. The main objective is to provide graduate students in modeling and control theory a unique training opportunity in this recent methodological area.
