Abstract
A speed sensorless controller for induction motor based on indirect field orientation concept is considered. Its main feature is that it is observerless. No speed and flux estimation is carried out in the controller, while a load torque estimator is based on the torque current error. The stability analysis of the full order error dynamics is performed using linearization. It is shown that the closed-loop system is locally asymptotically stable. A simple design of the controller parameters is obtained, thanks to the decoupling of the system in two interconnected systems. Experimental results show the performance of the proposed controller in a wide range of operating conditions.
