Abstract
The application of a new Fault Tolerant Control strategy to the two-tanks hydraulic system is presented. This system, following a functional reasoning, is viewed as a distributed system and it is divided into partial processes to be supervised at different levels. The solution presented in the paper is based on the general fault tolerant architecture realized in the context of the European Project IFATIS (proposal number IST-2001-32122).
